HappyGentle Dogs was built in the field, one dog at a time, by coaches who believe every dog deserves a real plan and a team committed to seeing it through — no matter the history or how many trainers gave up. Dale Donaldson has worked with dogs and families since the early 1990s, and more than 35 years taught him one thing above all: the problem is almost never the dog. It’s the absence of a clear, science-based system and a coach who knows how to use it. When HappyGentle Dogs became official in Princeton, Texas in 2008, the goal was never to build a business around one person; it was to build a methodology. A repeatable, teachable system any committed coach could learn and any family could follow. That system is Constructional Reinforcement Training (CRT), developed here from the ground up, informed by Applied Behavior Analysis and refined across thousands of dogs and families.
